February 2016 Wrap Up

Last month was kind of a “bleh” reading time for me. I read a bunch in December, so I was kind of in a slump. February, though…February was a solid reading month for me. I had some free time and some great books I wanted to read.

This month, I read a total of…SEVEN BOOKS! As per usual, I’ve included a few keys words or phrases about the book, as well as the rating I gave it.

Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw

  • Witty. My Fair Lady. Quick read.
  • Rating: 4 stars

The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest by Melanie Dickerson

  • Sweet. Imperfect, but enjoyable.
  • Rating: 4.5 stars

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys (read my full review HERE!)

  • Stunning. Haunting. Moving.
  • Rating: 5 stars

Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe by Max Lucado, Eric Newman, and Candace Lee

  • Hokey, at first. Then, really powerful. Surprising.
  • Rating: 4.25 stars

For the Love by Jen Hatmaker

  • Hilarious. Honest. Spicy.
  • Rating: 4.25 stars

Tales from the Shadowhunter Acadmy by C. Clare, S. Rees Brennan, M. Johnson, R.Wasserman (read my full review HERE)

  • Novellas. Back stories. Aha moments.
  • Rating: 4 stars

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys

  • Powerful. Beautifully written. Favorite author.
  • Rating: 4.75 stars

What did you read this month? Let me know in the comments!

Happy reading! – Caitlyn

  1. I got Salt to the Sea yesterday and I can’t wait to read it! Hopefully I’ll get round to reading it soon, but there’s so so many books haha! Great wrap up – it’s always so satisfying when you read that many books in a month 🙂
