Sunday Special: Book Haul

Bookoutlet.com recently had their President’s Day sale, which I just HAD to take advantage of. This is one of my favorite sites to buy books from. Although, it’s a little hit-or-miss at times. Typically when I order from them, I buy at least 3 or 4 books. Shipping just isn’t worth paying for a book or two. I picked up a total of 4 books this time around!

anna and the french kiss

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

This is actually a book that I’ve read before (and owned before), but I ended up giving it to a friend. Book re-gifting is a totally acceptable thing, so don’t even start judging me. I’ve been wanting to pick up another copy because 1) I love looking at it and 2) I know that I”ll want to read it again. If you’re unfamiliar with this trilogy, first of all you should know that it’s more like a set of 3 companion novels than a typical series. It’s got young love, romantic locations, and wit galore.

glass sentence

The Glass Sentence by S. E. Grove

This is a book that I’ve been wanting to read ever since it came out. I think the premise is really intriguing, but the page number is a bit daunting. This is the first book in a trilogy about a world where something happened and now all the continents exist in different times periods. Sounds really interesting, right?? I’m excited to read it.

book of speculation

The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler

I really don’t know much about this book except that it’s the author’s debut novel, it’s about a librarian, and it’s got some family secrets. I saw this at Barnes & Noble a few weeks ago and just thought it seemed interesting-ish. This will fulfill the challenge on my list for 2016 as a book about books. Yay!

girl you left behind

The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes

I recently saw the movie trailer for Moyes’s other book Me Before You and decided I wanted to read it before I saw it. While that book wasn’t available on Bookoutlet.com, this one was. I’ve been reading a lot of historical fiction lately, so this book stuck out to me.

Have you bought any books lately? Tell me in the comments below!

Happy reading! – Caitlyn
