March 2016 Wrap Up

This month, I read a total of…SEVEN books! Two of those were comic books and then 1 of the novels listed was a book that my class read together. I did read a 720 page book that basically knocked the wind out of me. It was hard to bounce back from that! But then I had a day off from work and read a book in one sitting. I love when I have a chance to do that!

As per usual, I’ve included a few keys words or phrases about the book, as well as the rating I gave it.

Ms. Marvel, Vol. 3: Crushed by G. Willow Wilson

  • Same ol’ same ol’. Entertaining.
  • Rating: 4 stars

Ms. Marvel, Vol. 4: Last Days by G. Willow Wilson

  • Better than the last few. Captain Marvel.
  • Rating: 4.25 stars

Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

  • Easy read. Meh characters. Interesting meet-cute.
  • Rating: 4 stars

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

  • FLYING. FEELINGS. FORBIDDEN THINGS.
  • Rating: 5 stars

Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen

  • Second time read. Read with my 7th graders.
  • Rating: 4 stars

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (audiobook narrated by Rosamund Pike)

  • 5th read. Great narrator. Timeless.
  • Rating: 5 stars

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

  • 2nd read. Entertaining. Unique.
  • Rating: 4.25 stars

What all did you read this month? Let me know in the comments!

Happy reading! – Caitlyn

  1. I’ve only read Dash and Lily from your list and have to say that I didn’t really like it. Agreed that the meet-cute was interesting and the characters were meh — I suppose I needed a bit more from the plot too than what was happening!
